The software group Playtech is definitely on a roll this month, with new games being launched at an incredible pace. Just as players were celebrating the new Dirty Dancing video slot thanks to an announcement by Playtech last week, along came the group with another new rollout – this time of RoboCop slot.
The new game, with 5 reels and 25 pay lines is based on the 80’s science fiction action movie of the same name – RoboCop. The new branded game was made possible thanks to a deal that was struck between Playtech and the subsidiary of Metro Goldwyn Mayer, MGM Interactive.
The 1987 movie went on to become a cult classic, and hugely popular among audiences. So much so, that a remake of Robocop was made in 2014.
What makes the new Robocop slot stand out is the fact that it has so many bonus features – eight of them in all. Four of the bonus features are triggered automatically in the base game, which means that rewards start rolling in from the word go. The base game bonus features include randomly dispersed wild symbols, 2 multipliers on each winning pay line, a fun pick-me-up game and a 3 x 3 big wild on the three middle reels.
By triggering the free spins feature, players are able to take their pick among other exciting features such a random wilds and more.
Needless to say that Playtech has managed to recreate the excitement of the original movie thanks to excellent graphics and animations.
The director of Playtech’s casino arm, James Frendo, spoke about the release of new RoboCop slot and the reason why it is set to become a new favorite at online casinos that are powered by this case.
Frendo said that many players at Playtech casinos grew up watching the iconic movie, Robocop, and nobody could forget the movie for its “non stop action sequences and the incredible presence and sounds of RoboCop himself.”
“The Playtech content team has worked incredibly hard to deliver a game that stays true to the original film, includes some stunning new features and brings players right to the heart of the action,” he added.
Playtech continues to roll out branded slot games based on mainstream themes and well-known films, images and brands, and the new RoboCop slot is just one such example.
