Other terms of the partnership:
✔ CSA staff (coaches, analysts, etc.) will have access to Stats Perform’s ProVision recruitment tool.
✔ Stats Perform will distribute exclusive live match video streams to licensed sportsbook operators through the Watch&Bet betting platform.
✔ Cricket South Africa news clips will be distributed by Stats Perform to global media.
✔ Stats Perform will include live streams and live data for all CSA home international fixtures, as well as domestic competitions.
The chief commercial executive of CSA, Kugandrie Govendor, said that the sports group has a vision to make cricket a national sport of winners, supported by most South Africans, and to pursue excellence on the field.
“To achieve our goal, we need a comprehensive and premier data provider with a proven track record with global cricket competitions,” he said, speaking of the deal signed with Stats Perform.
“With an unrivalled breadth of distribution into sportsbooks, global media and broadcast, as well as an unrivalled pedigree for collecting deep, accurate and fast data, Stats Perform was the perfect partner for us,” said Govendor.
CSA hopes that Stats Perform will help the group improve its on-field performances through accurate data and analysis software, commercialize its properties and engage with fans at home and overseas.
Also commenting was Alex Rice, the Chief Rights Officer of Stats Perform, who said that the company was “thrilled” to provide extensive media, betting and team performance coverage for all premier Cricket South Africa matches.
Rice said that, through the agreement, Stats Perform date and video will be used to analyze performance on the pitch and improve the way it is experienced and understood by cricket fans.
