Twin Spins Slots

NetEnt is known for its elaborate and sometimes ostentatious games, which is why Twin Spin seems a little bit far removed from what the developer usually has to offer. A very simple yet classic slots game, Twin Spin features the usual five reels and functions well with good graphics.

However, where it really distinguishes itself is in the 243 paylines that of course, mean much more chances for players to win. However, if you’re expecting all the bells and whistles you’d usually find on a Net Entertainment online video slot, think again because this game has no progressive, no bonus round, no multipliers and no free spins. With a fixed jackpot set at just 1 000 coins, this game is classic is every sense of the word.

The game is said to be one of the more popular ones offered by the developer and if you place a few bets on these reels, you will no doubt enjoy yourself. Styled to resemble some of the older pre-2000 slot machines, the game provides a solid playing experience but sadly, not much else. If we had to guess why it was so popular, we would say it is probably because the game is so straightforward and easy to understand, and the potential for payouts are fair.

Some of the symbols you’re likely to encounter include the diamond, the bar, the cherries and lucky seven, and a variety of playing card symbols. The game has 243 paylines and if you prefer to keep your bets very low, this is good news for you, since there are over 200 ways to win. However, if you choose to take on the maximum wager amount, be forewarned that you’re going to be spending a big chunk of change on every spin. The game features wilds too which will help you get closer to a winning combination.

The key to the game, according to the experts, is to try and find the diamond symbols as these are the most rewarding. However, the amount you’d have to spend to cover every single payline is perhaps one of the game’s less attractive attributes. One place in which the game does impress though is with the mobile version which is available for both Android and iOS (this was rolled out two months after the desktop game) and allows you to take this simple game on the go and keep yourself entertained no matter where you are. The functionality is smooth and the graphics are good, although a little old fashioned.

While the game is a staple in the NetEnt collection, we highly doubt that this one will win any awards for originality or entertainment. This may, in fact, be the one game that does not live up to the NetEnt name and though you’re guaranteed a simple experience when you choose to play it, you’re not guaranteed either wads of cash or heightened levels of excitement. So is it worth spending some cash on? For sure, as long as you don’t expect anything too exciting to happen. Our rating: 60/100
