The wilds appears as a bright metal ball and will help you complete wins as it will match all others but will only do so on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. We found the symbols and animated actions entertaining, but a bit boring after seeing what the Betsoft is capable of in various other 3D slots they have designed.

However, with that said, there are a few unique winning opportunities in the standard game that will excite, that being the synced reels feature. The impressive part about the feature is that there are no special symbols needed to activate. With each spin, the game will randomly select 2 adjacent reels. These reels will feature the exact same symbols, and if lucky enough, they can expand and include the remaining3 reels thereby allowing for up to 5 reels with the same symbols. While testing this we did not get all 5 but did see four reels synced several times. This resulted in amazing payouts and impressed up tremendously.

Event Horizon has quickly become one of my favourite video slots, simply because other games of this calibre simply do not exist. We found it to offer fewer features, but at the end of the day, a classic styled slot should not have many features to start with. Betsoft has focused on this point and executed the theme perfectly while ensuring a touch of their own magic with the animations. Our rating: 100/100
